The Foundation is administered
by four Directors; Morag Williamson, Ewan Reid, Ian
Bretman and Wyndham James and had its inaugural Board
meeting at The Fairtrade Foundation offices in London
in April 2009. As well as the Board of Directors,
The David Williamson Rwanda Foundation has two very
involved Patrons in actor Colin Firth and musician
and actor Shirley Manson. As a charity registered
in Scotland DWRF follows governance protocols in compliance
with OSCR requirements.
Ewan Reid
Ewan
was a colleague of David's for 15 years at Matthew
Algie where he is currently Technical Director.
He has been involved in coffee sourcing from small-holder
organisations throughout the world and experience
in linking producer organisations into value added
international markets. Ewan is also an active
member of the Rwanda Scotland Alliance. |
Morag Williamson
Morag
Williamson is Director of the David Williamson
Rwanda Foundation. She has had a lengthy career
in arts and education marketing and development,
and is currently working with the National Theatre
of Scotland. She has three daughters and is on
a steep coffee-learning curve. |

Ian Bretman
Ian
has worked in the charitable sector for a great
many years. He has been involved with the Fairtrade
Foundation since 1997 most recently as Deputy
Director and as well as holding the role of Executive
Vice Chair of FLO International. |
Wyndham James
With a long history of work in the charitable
sector, including over 20 years with Oxfam, Wyndham
is currently China Country Director for Save the
Children. |
